Discussion 2: Technical Support and the "Three Ones"

UN organizations key Bilateral donors and others have endorsed the  "Three Ones" principles, to achieve the most effective and efficient use of resources, and to ensure rapid action and results-based management:
  1. One agreed HIV/AIDS Action Framework that provides the basis for coordinating the work of all partners.
  2. One National AIDS Coordinating Authority, with a broad-based multi-sectoral mandate.
  3. One agreed country-level Monitoring and Evaluation System.
We would like feedback from across the world on the following questions:
  • How much has the Technical support by the UN System, Bilateral Donors, INGOs and others contributed to these three principles?

  • What efforts are missing to achieve the three ones?

Your feedback and discussions on this forum will be of great use to the Technical Support Study team in making recommendations on changes and efforts needed.
